Waiuku Steel N Wheels Festival 2026

The 2026 Waiuku Steel 'n Wheels Festival is almost here and we can’t wait to see the town come alive with this iconic Franklin event.  From Vintage cars to Tractors, and everything in between, it’s here! Experience the mind-blowing Mount Shop Jet car fire up, our new “Steel Wearable Arts” fashion show, Cowboys in action, the Car crush, V8 and Harley Chainsaw races, lots of booms and bangs and even NZ Warbirds making noise and smoke in the sky!

Truck-loads of entertainment, music, Elvis tribute show, kids carnival, markets and shops brimming with gifts, souvenirs, clothing, crafts and food.  Not just for motor lovers, this festival brings together everything unique about Waiuku; wonderful village shopping, the crafters and tinkerers, the vintage railway, chat with police, emergency services and community groups doing great things, or relax with a coffee or cold beer at one of our cafés or bars.

NO Dogs, Alcohol, Bikes or Scooters allowed into the event for safety reasons.
PARKING available at Waiuku Business Park off Kitchener Rd and in surrounding streets. Waiuku Cosmopolitan Club in Victoria Ave has parking for $5.
ROAD CLOSURES from 7.00am to approx. 4pm; Queen St from King St up to Victoria Ave, Kitchener Rd from Queen St to King St, Bowen St one way section only. The event goes ahead rain or shine.
