Beginner's Pottery at Cafe Queen

Madison Cowper will be hosting a pottery evening with an optional dinner at the wonderful Queen's Café in Waiuku, on December 7th from 4-8pm. 

Whether you're a complete beginner or a more experienced craft lover, this workshop is a wonderful opportunity to hone in on your skills and broaden your knowledge and experience working with this raw, dynamic material. This fun, relaxed and playful workshop will focus on making a variety of hand-built vessels such as tea-ware, mugs and vases, and bringing your own ideas and projects is heavily encouraged. Take your first step as a potter or ignite an old passion with this inspirational, open and educational workshop experience.

Madison is an artist and potter with almost a decade of practical experience and a BFA from Whitecliffe College. She has collaborated with and studied under some of New Zealand’s leading artists and designers, and has led over six hundred art workshops across New Zealand and Hawai‘i, in settings as varied as markets, forests, galleries, high schools, festivals and Buddhist academies.
