Waiuku Theatre Group presents - Alex in Wonderland

Alex and his pet dog Skunk are bored of their rule-bound world and long for one where they can dance, sing and play all day every day! So, when a smartly dressed, talking rabbit crosses their paths, they can’t help but follow down a rabbit hole into the whimsical, topsy-turvy world of Wonderland. As they journey through this bizarre land, Alex and Skunk encounter a series of eccentric characters-a grinning Cheshire Cat, a Mad Hatter, and a Queen with a very questionable temper-all while discovering that in Wonderland, the only rule is there are no rules!

With plenty of mischief, laughs, and unexpected surprises, Alex must decide what kind of world he wants to live in – is freedom from rules as wonderful as it seems?

This show is based on Lewis Carroll’s beloved ‘Alice in Wonderland’ with all the characters you know and love yet has been brought to life with fresh vision, energy & flair by longtime Waiuku Theatre Group member Amber Turner.
